RemoteDisplay allows to send data from the internet to local display boards without having to lay cables or have physical access to the display boards. An unlimited number of scenes can be pre-configured and changed at any time - one scene for a clock, one for a runtime with a given start time of day, one for a text saying start delayed…
Two communication options are available:
-
RS232-Capable Router
Using a local RS232-capable internet router - the router will receive already formated data and send it onto the display board. For this you need to have a reliable internet connection. -
Android Phone
Using an Android phone with an USB-RS232 adapter - the phone will just receive the remote control commands and generate the data for the display board locally. This way, you can have all the benefits of our webservice and having a smoothly running time locally even when internet conenctivity is not reliable.
Timing data like impulses or bib stages can be sent from a remotely deployed timing device to local timing software. No physical access like wires or local wireless connection is needed anymore.
Basically, any type of small pieces of data can be transmit from one location to another - be it a software or hardware device that is sender or receiver.
